HISTORY
Boys not
exceeding 14 years of age.
Although since
the first Junior Championship Meeting in 1951 there has been a
scratch stroke play event for boys not exceeding 14years of age
it was not until 1957 that a trophy was presented by the Golf
Foundation. From 1951 to 1977 this championship was decided over
18 holes but in 1978 it was converted to 36 holes and then the
members of Royal Guernsey Golf Club, who so strongly supported
Junior golf in the County throughout the last two decades,
presented a siver cup to be held by the winner for one year.
