TRI SERIES LEAGUE MATCH, HAMPSHIRE v SURREY v SUSSEX (15/5)

 

The first match in the League Tri Series was played against Surrey and Sussex at Farnham Golf Club.

The weather was glorious and the course superbly turned out.

 

The Hampshire Team were well prepared all arriving early to practice, finalise the game plan, and to be fully prepared. The game comes off the back of comprehensive victories versus Dorset Under 14s and a Test Valley men’s team. All the players knew this would be a tougher test against two very well prepared county teams.

 

The boys put into practice all that they had learnt during the pre-season training and put up a superb fight. Many of the matches were very close, swung by the very finest of margins. Every player gave their all and never game up.

 

Surrey took the honours winning, with Sussex runners up and Hampshire in third.

 

Next leg at Chartham Park on the Sunday 5^th June.
