Mike Smith Trophy and Solent Salver Winner

The Mike Smith Trophy - part two of the Solent Salver - was completed at Brokenhurst Manor on Sunday 7th August. The winner was Sam Roles from Weymouth Golf Club. Sam shot 71 and 68 in his winning score of  1 under par - the only player to achieve red figures for the two round total.

Luke Hodgetts (Hockley) won the Solent Salver - the best combined 72 holes combining the Stoneham Trophy and the Mike Smith Trophy. Luke has already won the Selborne Salver at Blackmoor in April - and the Bramshaw scratch Open.

Order of Merit

In a significant move for the Hampshire Order of Merit - Toby Burden (Hayling) came second in the Mike Smith with a two-round total of 143 - and Luke Hodgetts (Hockley) came joint 3rd one shot further back on 144.

Burden and Hodgetts now figure in first and second spots on the 2022 Hampshire Golf Order of Merit - with 3 events still to play.
