Stoneham's James Freeman beat Cams Hall's Aman Uddin at the first hole of a sudden-death play-off to win the Under 18 Junior County Championship at Sherfield Oaks yesterday (20/8).

Both players had tied on a four-under-par total of 140 for the 36 holes. James had compiled two rounds of 70 while Aman added a best-of-the-day 68 to a level par opening round of 72.

James also won the U16 title from Meon Valley's Nick Matthews.
