Hampshire First Team Win League!

The news spread in disbelief as word got to the Hampshire team from the Kent Vs Surrey match that Kent had taken a 4-0 lead in the foursomes session- setting up what ultimately became the result that Hampshire needed to top the group. After failing to beat Surrey at Blackmoor earlier this month the team left slightly dejected thinking that the chance had gone to reach the South Region Final, however, the perfect outcome materialised as Kent managed to beat Surrey and knock them off the top spot- gifting the league to the lads in blue!

This sets up a tasty final, the first one Hampshire have made since 2018, against an opponent to be confirmed once the other region complete their matches. The final takes place at Wildernesse Golf Club on Sunday 8th October and preparation is already in place for it.  For a look at the final table and to see just how close it was click here.
