Dunnington and Barker Win Seniors Foursomes Championships

The Hampshire Seniors took to the beautiful Brokenhurst Manor GC on Monday to contest their Foursomes Championship over 27 holes on a bright and sunny day in the New Forest. Tim Barker and Mark Dunnington of Lee-On-The-Solent GC took to the course for the morning round with the bit between their teeth putting together an almost perfect round of golf including a whopping 23 points on the back 9 to see them reach the clubhouse on 42 points and take a commanding lead heading in to the afternoon loop.

Their nearest challengers, Kevin Vine and Stephen Miller of Hayling GC, also played some great golf on the day finishing with a points tally of 59 which eventually came up 4 shots short of Barker and Dunnington who remained in control throughout the afternoon 9 holes to coast to victory.

Barker, who gave the winning speech, thanked his playing partner, the entire team at Brokenhurst who hosted the field impeccably as well as the County Officials and organisers for their efforts in setting up and running the event.
