GB&I Team Selected- with some Hampshire interest!

Nine golfers have been selected to play for Great Britain and Ireland in the St Andrews Trophy against the Continent of Europe at Royal Porthcawl, including Basingstoke GC's, Charlie Forster.

We can't wait to follow the biennial encounter that takes place on the south coast of Wales on 25 and 26 July with GB&I aiming to retain the trophy after a 14½-10½ win in 2022 at Penati Golf Resort, Slovakia. 

Forster has made the team off the back of a fantastic start to the Summer Season including getting to the top 16 in the British Amateur Championships, a 16th place finish at The European Amateur and a strong showing at the Scottish Open Amateur at Muirfield.
